GREENGUARD CERTIFICATION FOR INDOOR AIR QUALITY
The Greenguard Indoor Air Quality standard was developed for the needs of the commercial building industry, and focuses on products such as building materials, seating and systems furniture. This comprehensive standard screens for more than 10,000 chemicals and places stringent limits on more than 360 individual Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) including formaldehyde. Greenguard standards also include a TVOC (Total VOC) cap to account for the total amount of emissions released by a product.
Having clean air in living or work spaces is crucial, especially if your interiors are air-conditioned and not naturally ventilated. There are many possible sources of VOCs (such as materials, electronics, cleaning products and synthetic fragrances), and the build-up over time can trigger respiratory issues as well as other health problems for those with pre-existing health conditions.
SINGAPORE GREEN LABEL CERTIFICATION
The Singapore Green Labelling Scheme is our country’s leading environmental standard and certification mark. It is also recognised in 28 countries, being a member of the Global Ecolabelling Network. Green Label certified products show a commitment to being environmentally-friendly through low-emissions and -toxicity during the manufacturing process. This certification also contributes to the Green Label certified products contribute to BCA Green Mark credits administered by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore.
When we see the Singapore Green Label applied on a product (3,000 items and counting!) we can be assured that the product is environmentally-friendly. As eco-friendly products have lower levels of toxins and chemicals detrimental to the planet, they are also better for our general health.
TÜV SÜD PSB Certificate of Confirmity (Toxicity Emission, Smoke Density & Fire Spread)
Lamitak has been issued TÜV SÜD Certification as it has demonstrated compliance to international standards. This COC is awarded to show that when Lamitak laminates burn in the case of a fire, the toxicity emissions are low and don’t pose an immediate danger to life and health.
CLASS ‘0’ FIRE RATING
Lamitak laminates are Class ‘0’ Fire Rated certified by TÜV SÜD PSB under BS476 Part 6 & 7 standards. A Class ‘0’ rating shows that during a fire, limits the spread of flames and the amount of heat released from the surface. This would prevent or delay the fire from spreading to other parts of the affect area.
